Collected Stories
By Donald Margulies
Directed by Kent Paul
June 1 - 20, 2004
Our inaugural production.
Everyone has a story to tell, and we all need someone to tell it to – even if it means revealing secrets from our past. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Dinner With Friends comes this witty and moving play that asks, "What price do we pay to tell our most personal stories?" Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Lynn Redgrave plays Ruth, a celebrated Jewish author and teacher who agrees to mentor Lisa, an outstanding student. As these women from wildly different backgrounds share their lives and stories through the years, we witness an unlikely friendship and ultimately, its disastrous unraveling.
